The Victoria Baths in Manchester is a stunning, quirky wedding venue. A truly vintage setting that epitomises the term ‘shabby chic’.
It really is the perfect venue for individuals who want to put their own stamp on their big day.
Let me show you what Kirsty and Dave did……..
First, meet the Groom, Bride and her Maids. Stunningly pretty!! I loved Kirsty’s choice of flowers, especially her bouquet. Beautiful spring flowers, white tulips, ranunculus, narcissus, freesia and solomon’s seal with cornish bluebells and home grown forget-me-nots. The groom’s boutonniere was made using a single ranunculus, forget-me-nots and the first love-in-a-mist from my garden.
Oh yes and their dog, Jarvis.
The ceremony took place in one of the old swimming pools. The space was vast with stunning light flooding in from the glass roof. The flowers were seasonal, bright and natural. Pale blue delphiniums, bright yellow fritillaries, blue hydrangea, amaranths and cow parsley arranged in vintage tea urns gave a real blast of colour and framed the ceremony table.
Kirsty wanted the reception to be relaxed and informal. The bride and groom did lots of hard work to supply the containers for the table centrepieces, lol. The 60ish beer bottles looked great with the random natural looking flowers Wild & Wondrous supplied.
It was all the other little personal touches that really made this wedding. Kirsty and Dave had made centres, with pictures of themselves, for old vinyl records as their invites. They had little signs everywhere asking guests to post pictures on Instagram with their own hashtag, #kmagdbass, and made mix CD’s as favours.
Congratulations and best wishes to the new Mr & Mrs Bassinder. I really enjoyed working with you and creating the flowers for your big day.
